This is too cool. I am currently nominated for Best DJ in the 2024/2025 Austin Music Awards. I am one of five nominees. This is the 43rd Annual AMA’s and I am so honored and proud to be even in the discussion. This is my second nomination which is just unreal in a city with such talent.
Funny story about last time: I was nominated for the ’19/’20 season. The awards ceremony was in early March of 2020. We got all dressed up and went to the awards show and although I didn’t win, it was such an amazing night and it just felt so vindicating, like I was doing what I’m supposed to be doing in life. THE VERY NEXT DAY, the entire city shut down because of COVID and my career was essentially over. I didn’t DJ a party again for almost a year and a half. It was surreal to say the least.
So I am looking forward to doing it differently this year. Voting is open until Jan 20, 2025 and the awards ceremony is Mar 2, 2025 at Antone’s Nightclub.
